Target Information
OTUB1은 OTU superfamily에 속하는 cysteine protease로, branched poly-ubiquitin chain에서 ubiquitin을 절단하지만 ubiquitinated substrate에서는 절단하지 않습니다. 이 단백질은 다른 ubiquitin protease 및 E3 ubiquitin ligase와 상호작용하며, 면역계에서 cytokine 유전자 전사를 억제하는 역할을 합니다. 또한 polyubiquitin chain 성장의 editing 기능을 수행하는 것으로 제안됩니다. Alternative splicing으로 여러 transcript variants가 존재합니다.
