DUSP6 (Dual Specificity Phosphatase 6)는 dual specificity protein phosphatase subfamily에 속하며, MAP kinase superfamily (MAPK/ERK, SAPK/JNK, p38)를 탈인산화하여 비활성화시킵니다. 이는 세포 증식과 분화 조절에 관여하며, 다양한 조직에서 발현되고 특히 심장과 췌장에서 높은 수준을 보입니다. 대부분의 다른 family 구성원과 달리 DUSP6는 세포질에 위치합니다. DUSP6 유전자는 두 가지 isoform을 암호화하는 transcript variants를 가집니다.
