Target Information
Cytoplasmic dyneins are large enzyme complexes (~1,200 kD) containing two force-producing heads formed from dynein heavy chains and stalks linking the heads to a basal domain with accessory intermediate chains. This complex is involved in intracellular transport and motility.
DYNLL1 is a light chain component of this complex and interacts with neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS), inhibiting its activity by destabilizing the nNOS dimer. It may regulate various biological processes through modulation of nitric oxide synthase activity.
