This peptide corresponds to 13 amino acids near the amino terminus of human SRPX1.
PEP-0957 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-20843.

Target Information

SRPX1 was initially identified as a candidate gene for X-linked retinitis pigmentosa and is overexpressed in the trabecular network of the eye under glaucoma conditions.
Its expression is significantly downregulated in several cancer cell lines and malignant tumor tissues. Ectopic expression induces apoptosis through the endoplasmic reticulum and activation of caspase-12, -9, and -3, suggesting a tumor suppressor role.
SRPX1 also participates in the regulation of autophagy under low serum conditions and associates with Rab24, a Rab GTPase family member involved in autophagy. This association is enhanced during autophagy.
