Product Specific Information
Description:
The 104 monoclonal antibody reacts with the mouse CD45 molecule (leukocyte common antigen, LCA) in CD45.2-expressing mouse strains such as C57BL/6, BALB/c, DBA/1, DBA/2, C3H/He, CBA, 129, A, and AKR. CD45.2 is expressed by all leukocytes in these strains.
Applications Reported:
Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Recommended ≤ 1.0 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell count may range from 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Antibody should be titrated for optimal assay performance.
Fluorochrome Information:
Brilliant Violet™ 605 (BV605) emits at 605 nm and is designed for cytometers equipped with a violet (405 nm) laser. Ensure instrument compatibility.
Buffer Recommendations:
When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.
Light Sensitivity:
Sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect vial and samples from light.
Fixation Compatibility:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark. BV605 is not compatible with methanol-based fixation.

Target Information
CD45.2 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen):
A receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase expressed in all nucleated hematopoietic cells, comprising ~10% of surface proteins in lymphocytes. Regulates Src-family kinases, lymphocyte development, and antigen signaling. Exists as multiple isoforms via alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains. Also involved in integrin-mediated signaling, cell survival, and apoptosis-related DNA fragmentation. CD45RA is an isoform with cell-type restricted expression.
