SR 단백질은 스플라이싱 초기에 splice site 인식 및 spliceosome 조립을 촉진하며, 대체 스플라이싱 조절에도 관여합니다.
핵 내 ‘speckles’로부터 전사 부위로 이동하여 전사와 pre-mRNA 스플라이싱을 공간적으로 조정합니다.
