Product Specific Information

The MU5UBEE monoclonal antibody reacts with human and non-human primate CD185 (CXCR5/BLR1), a seven-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor originally identified in Burkitt’s lymphoma.

• Expression: Found on B cells and specific subsets of CD4+ T cells (not Th1/Th2).
• Function: Mediates lymphocyte trafficking, especially T cell migration into B cell follicles in response to CXCL13.
• Cross-reactivity: Rhesus macaque.
• Application: Validated for flow cytometry at 5 µL (0.125 µg)/test.
• Laser Compatibility: Excitation 488–561 nm; Emission 607 nm (use 610/20 BP filter).
• Light Sensitivity: Protect from light to prevent photo-oxidation.
• Fixation Compatibility: Samples may be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (00-5333-57) for up to 3 days at 4°C with minimal signal loss.

CXCR5 (CD185), also known as Burkitt lymphoma receptor 1 (BLR1), is a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) for chemokine BLC.

• Expression: High in Burkitt’s lymphoma, lymphatic tissues (lymph nodes, spleen), and certain immune cells.
• Function: Plays a critical role in B cell migration and follicular helper T cell localization.
• Tissue Distribution: Detected in human blood, salivary gland, and multiple animal tissues including lymph node, spleen, and brain.
• GPCR Family: Shares the characteristic seven transmembrane domains; key in cell signaling and pharmacological research.
