For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD33 is a transmembrane protein belonging to the sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin (Siglec) family. It contains immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs (ITIMs) that recruit protein tyrosine phosphatases SHP-1 and SHP-2, contributing to signal regulation and receptor internalization.
CD33 is expressed on myelomonocytic lineage cells and binds sialic acid residues on cell surface glycans. It serves as a therapeutic and diagnostic target for acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
CD33 is found on granulocyte and macrophage precursors in bone marrow, but not on pluripotent stem cells, and is a useful marker for peripheral monocytes. It helps distinguish myelogenous leukemia cells from lymphoid or erythroid leukemias.
Diseases associated with CD33 dysfunction include gallbladder lymphoma and extracutaneous mastocytoma.
