This antibody detects endogenous levels of Estrogen Receptor-beta only when phosphorylated at Serine 105.
Target Information
Estrogen Receptor beta (ER beta, NR3A2) is a nuclear receptor protein (~55 kDa) with multiple isoforms (36–59 kDa). It functions as a ligand-activated transcription factor regulating gene expression through estrogen response elements (EREs). ER beta and ER alpha are encoded by separate genes (ESR2 and ESR1). ER beta is expressed widely and may act as a tumor suppressor, with implications in prostate cancer, autism spectrum disorder, thyroid carcinoma, and cardiovascular disease.
