Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening of individual clones to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information

Cells respond to environmental stress by increasing expression of heat shock or stress proteins. HSPB1 (HSP27) is a small heat shock protein functioning as a molecular chaperone, maintaining denatured proteins in a folding-competent state. It contributes to stress resistance and actin organization, and regulates processes such as phosphorylation and axonal transport of neurofilament proteins.
Mutations in the HSPB1 gene are associated with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease 2F and Neuronopathy distal hereditary motor 2B.
