Target Information

The ERCC8 gene encodes a WD repeat protein that interacts with Cockayne syndrome type B (CSB) protein and p44, a subunit of RNA polymerase II transcription factor IIH.
Mutations in ERCC8 are associated with Cockayne syndrome (CS), a hereditary disease characterized by UV sensitivity and defective repair of transcriptionally active genes.
