Invitrogen™ PichiaPink™ Secretion Signal Set
The PichiaPink™ Secretion Signal Set is a collection of 8 DNA fragments encoding secretion signal sequences designed for use with the pPINK-HC and pPINK-LC vectors. These sequences enable efficient secretion of recombinant proteins expressed in Pichia pastoris.
Optimize Secretion of Your Expressed Protein
By adding one of the 8 secretion signal sequences to your gene, your expressed protein can be secreted into the culture medium, simplifying harvesting and purification. Since Pichia pastoris secretes few native proteins, the majority of secreted protein will be your target protein.
Each DNA fragment encodes a different secretion signal, allowing you to test and identify the most effective one for your specific protein.
Included Secretion Signal Sequences
- α-mating factor pre-sequence from Saccharomyces cerevisiae
- α-amylase signal sequence from Aspergillus niger
- Glucoamylase signal sequence from Aspergillus awamori
- Serum albumin signal sequence from Homo sapiens
- Inulinase signal sequence from Kluyveromyces marxianus
- Invertase signal sequence from Saccharomyces cerevisiae
- Killer protein signal sequence from Saccharomyces cerevisiae
- Lysozyme signal sequence from Gallus gallus
Easy Cloning and Expression
Each DNA fragment is designed for easy ligation in front of your gene in either the pPINK-HC or pPINK-LC vector. All sequences include the Kozak sequence from the AOX1 gene of Pichia pastoris to ensure efficient translation.
The secretion signal sequences are supplied as phosphorylated duplex oligomers in 40 pmol aliquots. Resuspend each oligomer in 40 μL TE buffer before use.
