For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The progesterone receptor (PR) is a member of the steroid nuclear receptor family mediating the physiological effects of progesterone, which is essential for reproductive events such as establishment and maintenance of pregnancy.
PR exists as two forms: PR-A (94 kDa) and PR-B (120 kDa), resulting from alternative translation initiation sites. PR-B is the transcriptionally active form responsible for gene activation related to endometrial maintenance, pregnancy, and ovulation inhibition.
PR-A differs by a 165 amino acid deletion at the N-terminus, which exposes an inhibitory domain that represses steroid hormone transcriptional activity.
In its inactive state, PR forms a multiprotein complex with heat shock proteins and immunophilins. Upon progesterone binding, conformational change enables dimerization and binding to progesterone response elements (PRE), activating transcription.
Null mutations in the PGR gene can lead to reproductive abnormalities.
