Target Information
IRAK3 (Interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 3) is a serine/threonine kinase and a member of the IRAK protein family, essential in Toll/IL-R immune signal transduction pathways.
It is primarily expressed in monocytes and macrophages and acts as a negative regulator of Toll-like receptor signaling.
IRAK3 plays a critical role in innate immunity and is implicated in immunocompromised states during sepsis.
Mutations in IRAK3 are associated with susceptibility to asthma.
