Target Information
Programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1, also known as B7-H1) is a B7 family member that binds to the programmed death receptor 1 (PD-1). PD-1 negatively regulates T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling, and PD-L1 binding reduces TCR-mediated proliferation and cytokine production. PD-L1 is expressed abundantly in many murine and human cancers and can be upregulated by IFN-gamma stimulation, suggesting its role in tumor immune evasion.
