Target Information
PHGDH 유전자는 동물 세포에서 L-serine 합성 초기 단계에 관여하는 효소를 암호화합니다. L-serine은 D-serine 및 기타 아미노산 합성에 필요하며, 효소는 NAD/NADH를 보조 인자로 사용하고 활성 형태로 호모테트라머를 형성합니다. 이 유전자의 돌연변이는 선천성 소두증, 정신운동 지연 등의 증상을 보이는 가족에서 발견되었습니다. 다수의 대체 스플라이싱 전사 변이가 보고되었으나 대부분의 전체 길이는 알려지지 않았습니다.
