Target Information
RNF20 is an E3 ubiquitin ligase that regulates chromosome structure by monoubiquitinating histone H2B. It selectively suppresses expression of several protooncogenes and growth-related genes, while positively regulating the p53 tumor suppressor and histone H2A/H2B genes. RNF20, together with USP44, modulates stem cell differentiation via H2B monoubiquitination.
