Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the annexin family, a group of calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding proteins involved in cellular growth regulation and signal transduction. Although the specific function of Annexin A13 has not been fully determined, it is associated with the plasma membrane of undifferentiated, proliferating endothelial cells and differentiated villus enterocytes. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
