Target Information
Survivin (IAP4)는 Apoptosis 억제 단백질(Inhibitors of Apoptosis Protein, IAP) 패밀리 중 가장 작은 구성원입니다. IAP 단백질들은 세포 신호전달, 세포분열, 대사 등 다양한 세포 기능에 관여하며, 대부분의 인간 암 조직에서는 발현되지만 정상 조직에서는 거의 발현되지 않습니다. Survivin은 단일 BIR 도메인을 가지며, RING finger 도메인은 없습니다.
이 단백질은 세포주기 G2/M 단계에서 발현되며, 유사분열 초기에 미세소관과 결합하여 세포분열을 조절합니다. Survivin-미세소관 상호작용이 방해되면 caspase-3 활성 증가와 함께 항아포토시스 기능이 상실됩니다.
또한, 뇌 손상 후 성체 흰쥐의 뇌 조직(성상세포 및 일부 뉴런)에서도 높은 수준으로 발현되며, NeuN 및 PCNA와 공발현되는 것으로 보고되었습니다. Survivin의 과발현은 암세포의 비정상적인 세포분열 진행을 유도할 수 있습니다.
이 유전자는 최소 4개의 전사 변이체를 가지며, 그 중 3개의 전장 형태가 확인되었습니다.
