Product Specific Information
These polyclonal antibodies are of rabbit origin, developed by immunizing animals with specific proteins or peptides. The antibody is purified by affinity chromatography from rabbit sera and tested for functionality in relevant research applications. It is intended for Research Use Only and is non-hazardous and non-infectious.
Since the target is conserved across species, the antibody may react with multiple species.
Target Information
Histones are basic nuclear proteins responsible for nucleosome structure in eukaryotic chromatin. Two molecules each of H2A, H2B, H3, and H4 form an octamer around which ~146 bp of DNA is wrapped, forming nucleosomes. The linker histone H1 binds to linker DNA between nucleosomes and contributes to higher-order chromatin compaction.
The H4 gene is intronless and encodes a member of the histone H4 family. Its transcripts lack polyA tails and instead contain a palindromic termination element. This gene is located within the large histone gene cluster on chromosome 6.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
