This antibody detects endogenous levels of total CHEMR23 / CMKLR1 protein.
Target Information
Chemokine-like receptor 1 (CMKLR1) acts as a receptor for the chemoattractant adipokine chemerin (RARRES2) and for the omega-3 fatty acid-derived molecule resolvin E1. Interaction with RARRES2 activates intracellular signaling molecules such as SKY, MAPK1/3 (ERK1/2), MAPK14 (p38 MAPK), and PI3K, resulting in diverse biological effects including immune response modulation, adipogenesis enhancement, and angiogenesis. Resolvin E1 reduces cytokine production in macrophages by inhibiting MAPK1/3 (ERK1/2) and NF-κB activation. CMKLR1 also positively regulates adipocyte metabolism and serves as a co-receptor for several SIV strains (SIVMAC316, SIVMAC239, SIVMACL7E-FR, SIVSM62A) and a primary HIV-1 strain (92UG024-2).
