Target Information
The MRP family consists of nine similar ABC transporters that function as efflux pumps for structurally diverse lipophilic anions.
MRP7 (Multidrug Resistance-associated Protein 7, ATP-binding cassette sub-family C member 10) is a multi-pass membrane protein of the ABC transporter family.
It mediates ATP-dependent transport of 17β-estradiol-D-17-β-glucuronide (E217βG) and plays a role in cellular detoxification.
MRP7 contains two ABC transmembrane type 1 domains and two ABC transporter domains.
Three isoforms are known: Isoform 2 is widely expressed, while Isoform 1 is predominant in the spleen.
