Target Information
Signal-induced proliferation associated-like protein 3 (SIPA1L3) is a member of the SIPA1 family of RapGAPs. SIPA1L3 is involved in tight junctions and adherens junctions, potentially balancing Rap1 activity by counteracting RapGEFs.
Deregulation of SIPA family members has been linked to myeloproliferative stem cell disorders and increased metastases in cancers. SIPA1L1 and SIPA1L3 may also play roles in embryonic development and cell proliferation.
