- PA1-16966 is specific for the ~84 kDa Hormone-Sensitive Lipase (HSL) protein.
- A non-specific band may also be detected at ~89 kDa.
- Additional bands (~102, 113, 127 kDa) may appear in the testis of sexually immature rats.
- Suggested positive control: human adipose protein.
Target Information
Hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL) is an intracellular neutral lipase primarily found in adipose and steroidogenic tissues. It hydrolyzes triglycerides and cholesteryl esters, serving as the major enzyme responsible for mobilizing free fatty acids from adipose tissue.
