Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. Restore with 0.1 mL of deionized water (or equivalent). For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This antibody is specific for mouse EBI3 protein. A BLAST analysis indicates 100% homology with the immunizing sequence from mouse EBI3. Cross-reactivity with EBI3 from other species has not been determined.
Target Information
EBI3 (Epstein-Barr virus Induced-3) is a secreted glycoprotein of the hematopoietin receptor family. It plays a key regulatory role in Th2-type immune responses and tissue inflammation by modulating iNKT cell function. EBI3 forms heterodimers with IL-12 subunits (p28 and p35) to generate IL-27 and IL-35, which regulate Th17 differentiation and immune homeostasis. Its expression in dendritic cells is controlled by TLR signaling via MyD88 and NF-κB pathways. EBI3 also influences tumor metastasis through CD8+ T cell regulation and is associated with Th2 cytokine production in allergic inflammation.
