The complex likely transfers the threonylcarbamoyl moiety of threonylcarbamoyl-AMP (TC-AMP) to the N6 group of A37.
TP53RK exhibits ATPase activity within the EKC/KEOPS complex and supports the catalytic subunit OSGEP.
It acts as an atypical protein kinase that phosphorylates Ser-15 of p53/TP53, potentially contributing to its activation.
