Target Information
RBP4 단백질은 리포칼린(lipocalin) 계열에 속하며, 혈중에서 레티놀(retinol)의 운반체로 작용합니다. 간의 저장소에서 말초 조직으로 레티놀을 전달하며, 혈장 내에서는 트랜스싸이레틴(transthyretin)과 결합하여 신장 사구체를 통한 손실을 방지합니다. 비타민 A 결핍 시 결합 단백질의 분비가 번역 후(post-translationally) 단계에서 차단되어 표피 세포로의 전달이 저해됩니다.
