Target Information
RBP4는 리포칼린(lipocalin) 계열에 속하며, 혈액 내에서 레티놀(retinol)을 운반하는 특이적 캐리어 단백질입니다. 간의 저장소에서 말초 조직으로 레티놀을 전달하며, 혈장 내에서 transthyretin과 복합체를 형성하여 신장 사구체를 통한 손실을 방지합니다. 비타민 A 결핍 시 결합 단백질의 분비가 차단되어 표피 세포로의 레티놀 전달이 저하됩니다.
