Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-kB p65)는 인간의 11번 염색체에 위치한 RELA 유전자에 의해 발현되며, Rel 단백질 패밀리에 속합니다. NF-kB p65는 NF-kB 복합체의 두 서브유닛 중 하나로, p50 또는 p52와 이합체를 형성합니다. TNF-α 수용체 결합 후 IKK의 인산화가 일어나며, 이는 IκB의 인산화 및 프로테아좀 분해를 유도합니다. NF-kB p65는 성숙한 B-림프구에서 면역글로불린 κ 유전자 전사에 핵심적인 역할을 합니다.
