Target Information
TET1은 메틸시토신(5mC)에 특이적으로 결합하는 dioxygenase로, DNA 탈메틸화 과정에서 5mC를 5-하이드록시메틸시토신(hmC)으로 전환시킵니다. hmC는 염색질 구조 조절 및 특정 인자 결합에 관여할 수 있으며, 배아줄기세포(ES 세포)와 뇌(특히 Purkinje 뉴런)에서 풍부하게 존재합니다. 또한 심장, 폐, 뇌의 태아 발달에 관여할 가능성이 있습니다.
