Target Information
The MED13L protein is a subunit of the Mediator complex, a large multi-protein complex functioning as a transcriptional coactivator for most RNA polymerase II-transcribed genes. It plays a critical role in early heart and brain development. Mutations in this gene are associated with congenital heart defects such as transposition of the great arteries, dextro-looped (DTGA).
