For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

BCL-2 is a key regulator of apoptosis that can either inhibit or promote cell death. Members of the BCL-2 family dimerize to modulate apoptosis.

• Bag1 forms a heterodimer with BCL-2, enhancing its anti-apoptotic effect.
• Bax and Bak are critical for cytochrome c release from mitochondria, initiating apoptosis.
• Overexpression or translocation of BCL2 is associated with follicular lymphoma and other cancers such as B-cell lymphoma and prostate cancer.
  Two transcript variants of BCL-2 differ in their C-terminal ends.
