Product Specific Information
The monoclonal rat IgG2a, kappa is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
- Applications Reported: APC-eFluor® 780 Rat IgG2a Isotype Control (APC-Alexa Fluor® 750 replacement) is reported for use in flow cytometry.
- Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.
- Excitation/Emission: 633–647 nm excitation; 780 nm emission (Red laser).
- Light Sensitivity: Sensitive to photo-induced oxidation; protect from light.
- Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark.
- Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
Rat IgG2a is an immunoglobulin subclass commonly used in research and diagnostics. It activates complement and mediates ADCC, with a molecular weight of approximately 160 kDa. Composed of two heavy and two light chains, it serves as a control or reference antibody in rat model experiments, including flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry.
