Target Information
CREB(Cyclic AMP Response Element Binding Protein)은 43 kDa의 basic/leucine zipper 전사인자로, 다양한 세포외 신호(신경전달물질, 호르몬, 성장인자 등)에 반응하여 CRE 서열에 결합하고 전사를 활성화합니다.
CREB의 활성화는 Ser133의 인산화에 의존하며, p44/42 MAP kinase, p90RSK, p38 MAP kinase, MSK1 경로를 통해 조절됩니다.
인산화된 CREB는 전사활성화에 필수적이며, CBP(CREB Binding Protein)와 상호작용하여 전사 조절 복합체를 형성합니다.
CREB는 생체 리듬 조절, 지방세포 분화, 학습 및 기억 등 다양한 세포 과정에 관여하며, 인간에서는 염색체 2q에 위치합니다.
CREB 기능 이상은 알츠하이머병, 조직구종, 연조직 흑색종 등과 관련이 있습니다.
