Product Specific Information

This antibody reacts with Bovine Papillomavirus and HPV VLPS types 16 & 11.
For IHC applications, it is non-reactive with normal tissue and non-reactive with cultured cells in immunofluorescent applications.
Purity is >90%. This product was purified using a proprietary method resulting in an Ig fraction.


Target Information

Papillomaviruses are a diverse group of DNA-based viruses that infect the skin and mucous membranes of humans and various animals.
To date, about 100 different HPV types have been identified.
Certain HPV types cause warts, while others may lead to subclinical infections resulting in precancerous lesions.
All HPVs are transmitted by skin-to-skin contact.
