Product Specific Information

This antibody reacts with Bovine Papillomavirus & HPV VLPS types 16 & 11. For IHC applications, it is non-reactive with normal tissue and is non-reactive with cultured cells in immunofluorescent applications.

Purity is >90%. This product was purified using a proprietary method resulting in an Ig fraction.

Target Information

Papillomaviruses are a diverse group of DNA-based viruses that infect the skin and mucous membranes of humans and a variety of animals. 100 different HPV types have been identified to date. Various types of HPV may cause warts while others may cause a subclinical infection resulting in precancerous lesions. All HPVs are transmitted by skin-to-skin contact.
