Product Specific Information
This antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by epitope-specific immunogen affinity chromatography. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The C1 component of the human complement system is a complex of three glycoproteins: C1q, C1r, and C1s.
C1r has a molecular weight of approximately 83 kDa and is present in plasma at an average concentration of 50 µg/mL, either as a complex with C1q and C1s or as a tetramer with C1s in the absence of C1q.
These subcomponents are responsible for initiating the classical pathway of complement activation.
