The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the E2F transcription factor family, which plays a crucial role in the control of the cell cycle and regulation of tumor suppressor proteins. E2F6 is atypical among E2F proteins because it lacks transactivation and tumor suppressor protein association domains. Instead, it contains a modular suppression domain and functions as an inhibitor of E2F-dependent transcription. The protein participates in a multimeric complex with histone methyltransferase and the transcription factors Mga and Max. Multiple transcript variants have been reported, though not all are confirmed to encode valid isoforms.
