TLR7는 Toll-like receptor (TLR) 계열에 속하는 고도로 보존된 막 단백질로 27개의 LRR(leucine-rich repeat)과 TIR 도메인을 포함합니다.
이 단백질은 병원체 인식 및 선천 면역 활성화에 핵심적인 역할을 하며, 단일 가닥 RNA 바이러스(예: 인플루엔자, VSV)에 의해 활성화됩니다.
TLR7는 주로 폐, 태반, 비장에서 발현되며, TLR8과 근접 위치에 존재합니다. MyD88 및 TRAF6을 통해 NF-kappaB 활성화, 사이토카인 분비 및 염증 반응을 유도합니다.
병원체 관련 분자 패턴(PAMPs)을 인식하여 효과적인 면역 반응에 필요한 사이토카인 생산을 매개합니다.
