Target Information
B cell linker protein (BLNK), also known as SLP-65, is encoded by the BLNK gene located on human chromosome 10. It functions as an adaptor protein in the B cell receptor (BCR) signaling cascade. BLNK is phosphorylated by the Syk kinase upon BCR activation, providing a platform for interaction with signaling intermediates such as Vav GEF and Grb2. Deficiency of BLNK leads to improper B cell development.
