Target Information
GADD153 (also known as DDIT3 or CHOP) is a nuclear protein that can dimerize with transcription factors C/EBP alpha and beta.
This dimer inhibits normal C/EBP binding while gaining affinity for non-classical stress-related targets.
Under normal conditions, GADD153 expression is minimal but is highly upregulated during cellular or ER stress, such as tunicamycin treatment, nutrient starvation, or disruption of ER calcium flux.
