For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD43 (leukosialin, sialophorin) is a transmembrane mucin-like protein with high negative charge, expressed on the surface of most hematopoietic cells. It contributes to a repulsive barrier that interferes with cellular adhesion but can also promote leukocyte aggregation.
CD43 interacts with actin-binding proteins ezrin and moesin to regulate T-cell morphology and cell-cell interactions during lymphocyte traffic. It modulates LFA-1 adhesiveness and signaling, influencing immune cell dynamics.
CD43 expression induces tumor suppressor p53 protein, but in p53 and ARF deficiency, it can promote tumor proliferation.
Diseases associated with CD43 dysfunction include Wiscott-Aldrich Syndrome and Adenoid Basal Cell Carcinoma.
