Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C, protected from light, for up to 1 week.
For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

This gene encodes a single-pass type I membrane glycoprotein with two Ig-like C2-type domains and one Ig-like V-type domain.
It is a plasma membrane component of adherens junctions and acts as an entry receptor for certain mutant strains of herpes simplex virus and pseudorabies virus, facilitating cell-to-cell viral spread.
Genetic variations are associated with differences in multiple sclerosis severity.
Alternate splice variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
