Target Information
FYN is a SRC-related kinase expressed in brain, skeletal muscle, and adipose tissues. It functions in multiple signaling pathways and plays a role in memory processes. FYN belongs to the protein-tyrosine kinase oncogene family and encodes a membrane-associated tyrosine kinase involved in cell growth regulation. It interacts with the p85 subunit of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase and fyn-binding proteins. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
