Product Specific Information
- For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain ~1 mg/mL antibody concentration.
- For conjugation experiments, perform desalting again using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Adiponectin is a protein hormone secreted exclusively by adipocytes that regulates lipid and glucose metabolism. It plays roles in homeostasis and obesity. Reduced adiponectin levels are linked to obesity, insulin resistance, and type 2 diabetes. In mice, adiponectin improves insulin signaling and reduces intramyocellular lipid levels through activation of AMP kinase and PPAR-alpha, enhancing fatty acid transport and oxidation.
