Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Rabbit Serum.
Target Information
Small ubiquitin-related modifier proteins (SUMO) are members of the ubiquitin-like protein family. SUMO-3 regulates amyloid beta generation and may be critical in the onset or progression of Alzheimer’s disease. SUMO-2/3 forms poly-SUMO chains. SUMO-1, SUMO-2, and SUMO-3 proteins localize to the nuclear membrane, nuclear bodies, and cytoplasm, respectively. SUMOylation is essential for mammalian cell cycle regulation; SUMO-2/3 localizes to centromeres and condensed chromosomes where it binds CENP-E.
