TYW4 is an enzyme involved in the wybutosine-tRNA (Phe) biosynthesis pathway.
Wybutosine (yW) is a hypermodified guanosine at the 3′ position adjacent to the anticodon of phenylalanine tRNA, stabilizing codon-anticodon interactions during ribosomal decoding.
TYW4 participates in a multistep enzymatic reaction that ensures accurate translation by stabilizing codon-anticodon base pairing.
