Antibody detects endogenous levels of PDGF Receptor beta only when phosphorylated at Tyr579 + Tyr581.
Target Information
PDGFRB is a receptor tyrosine kinase involved in atherogenesis and cell transformation by the SIS oncogene. These growth factors act as mitogens for mesenchymal-origin cells. The receptor forms either homodimers or heterodimers depending on the bound growth factor. The PDGFRB gene is located on chromosome 5 near genes for GM-CSF and M-CSF receptor, all of which may be associated with the 5-q syndrome. A translocation between chromosomes 5 and 12 fusing PDGFRB (CD140b) and ETV6 leads to chronic myeloproliferative disorder with eosinophilia.
