Target Information
Anti-Mouse secondary antibodies are affinity-purified antibodies with well-characterized specificity for mouse immunoglobulins. They are useful for detection, sorting, or purification of the specified target.
Secondary antibodies provide increased versatility, allowing use with various detection systems (e.g., HRP, AP, fluorescence), and greater sensitivity via signal amplification as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to a single primary antibody.
Typically, secondary antibodies are produced by immunizing the host animal with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species, followed by purification and modification (e.g., immunoaffinity chromatography, antibody fragmentation, label conjugation) to yield highly specific reagents.
