Product Specific Information

The ICRF44 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD11b, a 165 kDa adhesion molecule associated with integrin beta2 (CD18). CD11b is expressed on monocytes, granulocytes, activated lymphocytes, and a subset of NK cells. It acts as a receptor for CD54, CD102, CD50, and iC3b, playing key roles in cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions.

  • Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
  • Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and validated for flow cytometry of human peripheral blood cells
  • Recommended usage: 5 µL (1.0 µg) per test in a 100 µL final volume (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test)

Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 615 (BUV615) emits at 615 nm and is designed for cytometers equipped with a 355 nm UV laser. Ensure instrument compatibility before use.

When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies (Super Bright™, Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant Ultra Violet™), use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ to minimize non-specific interactions.

Light Sensitivity: Protect vial and stained samples from light.
Fixation: Samples can be stored up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark using IC Fixation Buffer or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution.

Target Information

CD11b (Integrin alpha-M, ITGAM, Integrin alpha-X, ITGAX)

  • 165 kDa adhesion molecule forming a heterodimer with CD18 (Integrin beta-2).
  • Also known as Mac-1 and CR3 (Complement receptor 3).
  • Expressed on monocytes/macrophages, granulocytes, activated lymphocytes, NK cells, dendritic cells, and microglia.
  • Functions as receptor for ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), ICAM-4 (CD242), CD14, CD50, CD23, heparin, iC3b, fibrinogen, and Factor X.
  • Commonly used as a microglial marker in nervous tissue.
  • Expression increases during monocyte maturation and varies among macrophage types.
  • Associated with systemic lupus erythematosus and ITGAM-related susceptibility.
