Target Information
This gene belongs to the cyclophilin family of peptidylprolyl isomerases, which are highly conserved and play a critical role in protein folding, immunosuppression by cyclosporin A, and HIV-1 infection. The protein interacts with the proteinase inhibitor eglin c and is localized in the nucleus. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
